Steal the hobgoblins Sack of gold
How do I solve this quest? I have found the button on the side of his house, but it seems I need a specific book to do something. I tried having all my books with me that I found throughout all the games but it doesn't work (not even the credits book

There is a book that might be on a windowsill. Did you try getting angry at the teleporter there?
I couldn't find the book on the windowsill. I tried both hit and touch.
If you have the quest to steal the sack of gold, hit the teleporter by Nob the Hobgoblin in the Infernal Waste, then talk to him about "The Teleporter", then tap his window.
It has to be that sequence.
I hit the teleporter button first. Nothing happened. I talked to Nob but he didn't tell me anything about the teleporter. Then I tap on the teleporter button. I spoke to Nob again but he said only Nob loves you. Nob only gave me the quest Sack of morels.

It's not sold in any shops nor is it sellable.
Try tapping and hitting the teleporter there to the left of Nob's house and then try talking to him again and then try the window.
Is the teleporter on or off?
Did you check you inventory to see if you have the Sack of Gold?
Teleporter is on.
I don't have a Sack of Gold in my inventory. Can I buy the Sack of Gold?
If the teleporter is on, that's your problem, What happens if you whack it with your sword. Don't step on it. Just stand in front of it and whack it.
You can't buy the sack of gold.
Nothing happens if I whack him with sword. But if I touch him, the teleporter goes to on.
The sequence is:
You have the quest to steal the sack of gold.
You hit the teleporter and get the sack of gold.
You speak to the Hobgoblin about the teleporter and he tells you about his book Dummies Guide to HTML.
You touch his window and get the book.
You go around to the right side of his hut and tap the button on the wall twice.
The teleporter goes on.
The goblin will no longer talk to you once you've set the teleporter back on.
I just tested this many times and the sequence works perfectly.
If it doesn't for you, I would suggest either going back to an earlier save file or sleeping in an inn for 21 sleeps and then going back to try the sequence again.
Elendil is raally busy right now with the Quest2 and to give him an update for something that works just isn't possible at the moment.
