Anything Happening?

Hi Cat - haven’t heard from you or the team for a while so I just thought I would say HI👍

Hope you are still okay - is there anything on the horizon for Quest expansions or any updates on Quest II? The last expansion I downloaded for iOS was Ragnar’s Revenge

  • Still waiting for Elendil to upload two expansions. Have not heard anything sbout Quest2.

Meanwhile, am working on a new game made with Unity, a dungeon crawler.

  • Another dungeon crawler? That's great news!

  • Dear Cat

I am glad that all is well with you.

Looking forward to your new game made with Unity.

    DMB

  • Thank you. ^^

  • Dear Cat

Those screen shots look very good indeed.

If it is not against the rules of the site allow me to say that I always thought that the expansions that you and your partners produced were so much better than the original game and I think that you are about to prove your game writing talents with your new game.

    Thank you so much!

    It's a good challenge---

  • Fantastic news Cat - I love FPP dungeon crawlers and so excited to hear this news. Quite honestly, there has been a distinct lack of traditional DC’s for the past couple of years on mobile platforms. Can’t wait to- not wanting to jinx or put you on the spot but is this likely to be a 2025 release?

It might be but it would be very late 2025. We are just getting all the procedural things down in the early dungeons. And beautifying graphics. I have a programmer but he also has a family. :)

For Windows and Android for now. Iphone will come later.

I'll post the quest list as things move along.

  • Screenshots look very promising - unfortunately I am on iOS so I guess that means I will have to wait until 2026😩

  • I will do my best. 😸

Hi, while waiting to play the new extensions... I have some question about your game :

Did you use a unity kit or it's a 'from scratch' game?

    It's turn based?

Do you need some help? (I work on the BASPM game years ago (https://www.matrixgames.com/game/buzz-aldrins-space-program-manager), it's a unity game, I do a lot of recurring stuff, animation timing, mission validation, sound cutting, testing, etc... I also made some prototyping in unity for my pleasure of learning (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fcn7RwxFmnk) and I also made a pre-alpha homemade EOB engine (just the display) (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/DL2FTWTVZKI))

Personal remarks, I would prefer a 2D pixel art game because 3D game didn't old well (just look the PS1 games) and because I'm nostalgic. You know you will not earn a lot of money because this kind of games didn't sale very well

While reading the All Seeing Eye (https://ase.zorbus.net/) I see there is someking of an editor (https://ase.zorbus.net/editor/) will give it a try soon...

  • Hi, Nico.I'm using Pixelcrushers' Dialogue System for Unity that covers many things apart from battles.

The game is my son-in-law's. I'm doing the story and quests. He's a coder and doing everything else, including designing the dungeons. It will be sold under Koramar Games not Zarista.

The basic functionality is finished. Thank you for the offer of help but the basics are done. I just have to put in the quests.

I might try 2d at some point but I prefer 3d right now. Never really having been involved in coding battles, I think it's turn-based. I bash monster. Monster bashes me. ;)

  • Hi, could you ask to Elendil the price he want for you to be autonomous with your releases? Maybe we could work all together for it...

That's not possible. Sorry. This is a partnersip that spans many years and usually works well. I have no desire to do things any differently. I do have a desire to experiment with new things which is why I am currently enjoying learning the Unity engine.

  • I truly appreciate your offer of support though. I'm always glad someone enjoys the games. And I appreciate your kindness, Nico.
