Blue Asteroid
Hi, I am in like the South-West/Lower-Left corner that has 3 buttons. I made it across the empty platform but cannot get past the flames. Does anyone know what to do?

Welcome. There is no way across the flames.
May I ask how we complete the Blue Asteroid quest? I gave all the ice samples to the professor, it's the SW corner part I am stuck on.
The Blue Asteroid quest: For Honx, Miners' Guild, travel to the Blue Ice Asteroid, mine Frozen Water and deliver it to Dr. Despot at the nuclear power station there. You'll need a Microwave Rod to cook the Frozen Water out of the soil.
Did you bring Dr. Despot the Frozen Water? If you did, go back to Honx.
Dr. Despot wants at least ten Frozen Waters.
Did you get Michele's Oven Mitts in that section you marked?
You get the frozen water from the blue ground in the section directly above the section marked in red on that map but you can't get there from there and you need a Microwave Rod to get it.
It sounds like you got it and if you gave Dr. Despot at least ten, go back to Honx to complete the quest.
I am not sure about the mittens. What are the steps to do that?
Stand on that X in the picture you posted above the red line drawn there and you get a rod if you have this quest and the mittens Michele_L gives you.
For Michele_L, Miners' Guild, travel to the Blue Ice Asteroid and find one of the Stones of Ancients, a uranioum rod she can use to repair the beacon that guides the guild's mining ships. You can use guildsman Honx's teleportal to travel there. You'll need the mitts Michele gives you to extract the rods from the fiery crater where they can be found.
That's the thing- I cannot get to that X because I cannot cross the flames.
You cannot cross those flames. There is a ladder that goes down to that section where the x is and you have to cross some pits but there are buttons to allow you to do that.
Where exactly are you standing?
Huh- no ladder spawned... and I pressed all 3 buttons.
I am on the south end and there are 4 red columns surrounding the area.
Are you having a problem with red flames or blue ice spikes?
The red flames cannot be crossed. If you step on the X as mentioned if and only if you have Michele's quest.
The only thing keeping you back there would be blue ice spikes. To remove them you have to throw a throwing object, like a knife to the left where you see that red button on the left.
Maybe I didn't see Michelle, where is she?
She's in the Miner's Guild.

I keep getting told the area is too hot and my health is down to 15.
Hey Catacomber, would a general store sell these gloves again?
The gloves are Heavy Armor so if they appeared in any store it would be one that sold weapons and heavy armor.
The man that sells special items sells them.
