Took the west stairs- north wall must have a monster behind it, but states nothing happens when I click it.

I don't see any monster where you speak of.

If you click the button on the north wall there, you should get a message a door opens.

But for that button to work, you first have to go up the east stairs, hit the northernmost walls, if you have the quest to Kill the Brocken Spectre. That will reveal a button to activate the button where yiu are and set a Mummy visible where the walls were.

What about the wraith in the northern staircase?

Got the Fairy Wand, but don’t see it in my inventory. Is it classified as a wand or weapon?

It's a weapon. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't see it.

I don’t have it if it’s called Fairy Wand. I did get the light sword behind the force field.

I don't see a force field in Dun of the Dead. What's the name of that sword?

The Sword is in Fairy Queen Palace after completing Dun of the Dead.
