Regarding the mirror showing the ugly green ogre in his swamp that you pass on the way to the king's room...

Is this just a teaser or is there actually something to do here? I ask because I have tried a number of things here without effect, so if there is, in fact, nothing to do I would like to know so I can press on to othere things; however, if there is something to do here a hint would be appreciated.
