**Michele LaConto's Guide to finding—
Mountain Hammer, The Everlasting Mana Charger, and a few other items
**
How to find the 'Maul', the 'Mountain Hammer', the 'Mountain Horror', The 'Everlasting Mana Charger', Mrs. Elisey, and the areas that you will find the 'Book of Destruction', one of the keys to the 'Abyss', the entrance to the Boletus Cave and the Mad Dwarve's Castle.

Finding the Maul

When you are at the entrance of the Strah Mountains and you are facing the sign, turn and go 1 pace east, 3 paces north, 1 pace west, 1 north, 2 west, 2 south, turn east and get the 'Maul'. Then go north 1 pace, east 2 paces north, turn east and push the button.

Finding The Mountain Horror and Everlasting Mana Charger
This is now the area where the 'Mountain Horror' will be. You will also find Ignatz and the 'Everlasting Mana Charger' here (ask him about it). You will see a cave to the east. Go inside. This is the Bogatyr Cave. You find Mrs. Elisey, the 'Book of Destruction' and one of the keys to the 'Abyss' held by statues in this area (you'll be able to find them when you receive the quests).

Finding the Mountain Hammer and Entrances to the Mad Dwarve's Castle and Boletus Cave.
Exit through the other cave to the west and south around the corner of where you first entered this area. You'll be facing a button on the wall- Don't push it at this time. Turn and face north and go 3 paces, west 1, north 3, east 2 (you should see a pink flower) and hit the wall with the 'Maul'. The 'Mountain Hammer' should be to the north. This area is where you will find the entrance to the Boletus Cave and the infamous Mad Dwarve's Castle.
The Everlasting Mana charger is in a barrel in Redshift University and there's one in the Strah Mtns.

**Walkthrough to cure diseases / loss of ability in HOL II
Written by Nikademus:
**
In HOL II there are 3 diseases and a loss of ability (excluding the sacrifice's in Mad Dwarves Castle) which you will definitely get at some point, even if you get the protective cloak from St. Kilda's island. How to cure - WEST KRIVDA's VIRUS In order to get the antidote, you have to Speak to Silvergirl (Fizeau School of Physics - Acting Headmistress) in the top north easterly building of Redshift University. Each time you receive the antidote, you will find yourself outside the building. Since you can only receive it when your infected, it's worth re-entering the building and getting another antidote until you have between 5-10 doses, as you are likely to get reinfected later on while completing HOL II. How to cure - GEHENNA'S DISEASE and HADES ITCH The majority of ingredients locations are pretty easy to find from the "Shorter Botany of Lukomorye Book" (with the possible exception of Devil's Fungus and Queen's Face Flower), so to preserve fun in the game I would advise only looking at this guide if your really stuck. Talk to MuldrzSiS (Feelgood School of Healing) in the middle west bank of buildings at Redshift University "About diseases". Initially you have to gather two ingredients which are time bound (you have to get them within 9 game hours) - so it's probably best to get the ingredients first, before you speak to Old Shaman (or alterantively use mark and recall wisely!) The two ingredients are; Ice Cactus - you'll find this in the north section of Buran Pass. If you find it difficult getting there, jump on the portal to Krivda village, from the Cave of Ascetics. Head to the inn in the NW corner, walk along the stream, then 2 steps into "the Source of Vazuza" map, head north (over a plant and a rock).

From Upper Vazuza, head East into Buran Pass. The entrance to the real Buran Pass map is between a corridor of trees. Green Fairy Ring Flower - this is in the SE corner of Honey Meadow (just near where the water ends). Return the ingredients to Old Shaman within 9 hours. You will then have to find a further 8 ingredients, and deal with Old Shamans under-studies. Snet Bigsnapper (who now appears East of Old Shaman), is the resident flowers expert. You have to give him the following 4 flowers; Hops Lily - this is situated in the Hops Field, in the South, slightly West corner of the map (just East of the tavern) [while your in the Hops Field, its best to also get the Bumble Bee Berry, for the next part of the quest. This is in the far east part of Hops Fields. It looks identical to Yellow Grapes, and is the 3rd plant south in a series of 4 plants) Silver Rose - in Silvergirls forest, on the island in the NE corner Black Sea-Rose - looks like a rose type flower (suprisingly!) on the middle western peninsula of Rybar village Queens Face Flower - if you bash on the door of the SE building in Belovodsk Palace Square at NIGHT, you find this flower and 5k in gold. You also commit a crime, which isn't much of a problem in HOL II until you try and join the order of the Sword. Return these 4 ingredients to Snot BiggSlapper, then talk to Old Shaman again.

He'll direct you to another lacky, Osman the Orc, lacking in social graces, but he mixes a fine coctail! Your sent on another errant, for another four ingredients; Bumble Bee Berry - as above Angel's delight - found in a little pool as you head north from RedShift University Muddy Pool Meadow - also in Fowlers Forest. You need to enter during office hours and speak to a girl called Elizabeth at Muddy Pond (sign posted, in the north of the map). You have to possess Meat in your inventory (Buffalo toes doesn't count!) Talk to her "About Meat", then return (it says the next day, but in reality 24 hours later), to get the ingredient. Devil's Fungus - this is perhaps the most difficult / frustrating part besides Mad Dwarves Castle (but doing it a second time for this guide, it was considerably quicker!

The first time I didn't pay enough attention to the text, and was still looking after I had found the relevant wall....) This ingredient is found in Yishkatoli Greenhouse. You need to speak to MuldrzSiS (School of Healing) to enter. In this dungeon the map is disabled and there are a number of teleports. There are undoubtabely many ways to solve this, but hopefully the method highlighted here is one of the quickest and simplest. You will have to slap a few Grand Sand Fleas and Clawtoe Moles, but for simplicity I'll just list the moves. Take 7 steps S, 5 E, 1 N, Open door to the E. 2 E, 1 N, Open door to E. 4 E, 2 N, Open door to E (bit of a theme!) 2 steps E, 1 N, Open door to E (....), 5E, 3S, 3W and teleport. Click on the grey moss covered wall to the south, to find the devils fungus.

Then teleport out, or use the nearby exit and return the 4 ingredients to Osman the Orc. Like the West Krivda Virus antidote from Silvergirl, its worth speaking to Old Shaman between 5 and 10 times, to get enough antidote so you can cure yourself later in the game, when you get infected mid quest. LOSS OF ABILITY This is nasty, because amongst other things, you can't self enchant anything while you have this. You get infected when you have 2-3 of the diseases above, and it seems you can't avoid getting this "ability" / disability as you enter the teleports room in the cave of ascetics. I had a guide on the Playhaven site on how to get the Mountain Hammer in Strah mountains, but seeing as there is no search function and old threads disappear, it seems to have been lost in the internet ether. Anyways, you can get rid of this in the Cave of the Boletus Folk, in Strah mountains.

The entrance to this is very close to where you find the Mountain Hammer that slays the Mountain Horror. You'll have to slay a few Mountain Ghouls and Faceless Horrors to get there. In the Home of the Boletus Folk cave, head north. Kill the witches until you reach the beady eyed mushroom people. There is a purple skull orb (the same design as the red one that heals health, blue mana, yellow xp....) Touch it and you will be cured of "this crippling disease".

Michele's Guide to Finding and Curing Princess Zabava in the Harem, Finding King Ziligd, and Location of TFind Princess Zabava, cure and free her and find the Dreamlord's colorful item.
The Harem is in the center building of Tmutarakan - Vyshegrad. You enter from a small door on the south side of the building.

Tap the lantern on the northeast wall to open the area leading up to King Ziligd. When you get up there, you will find him in his lavatory. You'll need to hit the four pillars in the room to weaken Ziligd. After you defeat him he will drop the 'Harem Key'. Go back down to the Harem area and find the secret area in the wall where Zabava is hidden.
If you go east outside of Ziligd's lavatory and tap the wall you'll find a couple of nice items on a shelf.

You'll need to find Cfsdoc in Tmutarakan - North End for Zabava's cure.

To find the item for the Dream Lord, you'll need the quest from both the Dream Lord (located in a long wooden building in Rybar Village) and Dr. Teseoglu (located in the southeastern house in Belovodsk - Palace Square).he Dream Lords Colorful Items.
Nikademus' Guide to The Quest HOLII's Temple of Hideous Phantoms Dungeon

This quest is given by Ghosthunter at the Redshift University - Professoress of Archaeology on the bottom of the Western building, from memory.

Head to the Monastery on St. Kilda's island. You can speak to Father Drazhen, behind the door, but it's the little urchin with an ASBO Josef you need to get the key to the crypt, thanks to his light fingers!

There is a secret door on the far SW corner of the monastery, with a few monsters behind, but nothing more noticeable there as far as I can see.

Head to the crypt to the SW and get your magic resistance up, as there are a load of witch type casters. Once you have cleared them all, head to the Crypt of cruel punishment - "Find the pun question scrolls and match them with the correct answer."

Pretty self explanatory. You get a load of scrolls that you can read when in your inventory. These contain the questions that need to be placed on the various shelves to match with the answers, written on a plaque next to each shelf.

Each time you match the question scroll with an answer, you get drained by 40 mana, and a 'Punisher appears' (level 47, 611 hps,3k xp, stats 103/112/84/75 str/dex/end/int).

Not all bad news - each skellie carries a key that unlock numerous doors in a corridor that leads to the prize.

There are a few hidden scrolls. The riddles are fairly obvious, so I'll just give the location on all the scrolls.

There is one already on the floor of the dungeon that reads "Why are there fences around cemeteries?".

There is a hidden scroll on the Vishnu type statue to the NE - "What do ghosts have for desert?"

Click on the far SE coffin to get a 3rd - "Why can't Agent Kolobok be buried in the crypt?".

Now match the scrolls with the answers, if you haven't already, one at a time and kill the 'Punisher' skellies.

The 2nd one (I think) also carries a pun scroll - "What did the rib cage say to the chest?"

After unlocking the first door, tap on the grave stone to the east to find another pun - "What kind of mistakes do ghosts make" - I think some of these jokes were written by Ken Dodd!
Once you open the 3rd door, click on the candle to the west - "Who won the beauty contest?"

If my meager notes are correct, you should now have all the keys, having matched scrolls with answers, and killed the skellies. You come across 3 skeletons and a named monster called Kasper (all level 23, 299 hp, 2k xp, 50/55/41/36 str/dex/end/int).

The corridor goes west, then you come to a hole in the floor.

Although someone has put what looks like a ladder there, you slip down into a hole, losing 100 hp and mana, and a further 40 points when you land on your armored derriere!

You are now in a smaller area facing the Empress of Asps (level 45, 630 hps, 8k xp, stats 67/99/81/126) and 4 asps - she ain't much of an 'Empress' as her asps are stronger! (level 55, 1100 hps, 5.5k xp, stats 110/165/90/60).

Once you kill these beasties, you can bash the wall with a crack to the west (twice) to reconnect with the monastery.

Now if you want to ever get back here or to the 'Punishment' room (not sure if there is a reason to, unless there's some secret respawning item/area I've missed?), place a mark in the area you fell in, or punishment room.

Now time to get off your asp, and climb that ladder to the east in the room you fell into. This brings you onto the other side of the hole.

There is a coffin there. Click on it, to receive the Phantasmic Idol. Ball a bish, ball a boom - job done!

You get text to say that you get thrown into the air. The wall that you may have just bashed and wall between crypt and punishment room collapse, so you cannot re-enter, though I'm not aware of a reason to do so?

Then return to Ghosthunter for a fairly underwhelming reward (you can keep her sword, that you wouldn't be using normally anyway

Cat added: Ghosthunter's sword is needed to kill the Ghost of the Roses. In Honey Meadow.
Vampire Smurf's Guide to Finding and Freeing Princess Zabava:
Find and free princess Zabava/Cure princess Zabava - A small guide
Written by VampireSmurf

For this quest you will need the following items: Flyswatter (To kill the flies).

Firstly talk to Mr. Tainnik, he will give you several quests but for now we are only focusing on one -Find and free princess Zabava-

From Cave of Ascetics you can teleport to Tmutarakan. (The first teleport on your right)

Now you need to find King Ziligads castle/harem

How to find king Ziligad, first off tap the correct light to discover the secret area behind.

The light is located in the upper north corner of the harem.

Inside you will find a stairway, go up. Kill all monsters inside. Continue until you get to the main area, where you will find you cannot go any farther. Look around there will be a door. Enter it. (It has a sign by saying King ziligads privated bathroom)

Before you are able to kill King Ziligad (He is invincible at first) you will need to destroy the four pillars in King Ziligad's bathroom, you do this by attacking them.

This will weaken King Ziligad so you will be able to harm him.

After destroying all the pillars I would suggest resting or drinking a potion before taking on King Ziligad. Infact I used a running method, by skipping in and out of the door (Attack-run out and heal-Attack-run out and heal...)

Be careful King Ziligad hits 200 or so and he is able to kill you in about 2 - 3 hits.
You will receive the following items: Gehhena Blade, Harem Key.

Now we need to find princess Zabava, the light you must tap to access the secret area is in the middle of the western side of the harem.

After you get into the secret area there will be a door, tap the door (You will need the Harem Key)

At the end of the hallway there is a door, tap the door. Inside is princess Zabava she will give you a quest: Cure Princess Zabava, Find a cure to cleanse the blood of princess Zabava.

You will need to get a potion from the Cfs Doc, he is in Tmutarakan - North end.

Talk to him, ask him about Princess Zabava he will give you a potion. Bring the potion to princess Zabava in the harem. The "Cure The Princess Zabava" quest will be solved.

She will tell you that you need to find the flying carpet so she may accompany you out of the harem.

The Flying Carpet is to the left of the door, tap it.

You will be transported to The Cave Of Ascetics, talk to Mr. Tainnik.
Quest completed - You receive 250k.
