Dram Castle and Lighthouse

It is possible these are dumb questions but I’ve been all over the forums and I need help. Thx in advance to Cat or whoever answers my questions.

I have tinder and gun powder and can’t enter Dram Castle. Tap tap? Means??

I can’t get past the magic barrier in front of the switch in the Lighthoise. I have tried all my spells. I must be missing a spell or something.

    You need to talk to the pirate Mihail of Barbary at the entrance to the castle. He'll let you in only if you have the pirate cloak and dirk.

    You need to cast the spell Disarm and your Strength needs to be at least 50 to remove that barrier.
