Phredd is the problem then- if you use the spell from Phredd on Merlin instead of the Conjurer's quest, Merlin's rescue and teleport triggers The Conjurer to become hostile and not open the door.

Since you already learned the spell, it's obviously not necessary.

But if you want the player to have the full experience, including attacking the archer lady, and skeleton, you would have to remove the item from Phredd's.

It should just be seen like Caerworn Castle's Fox Hole witches. You can get the spells from them, or someone/somewhere else.

There are always choices to be made in games. That's what replaying is all about. I like to give the player different ways of doing things so they might want to replay.

There is no way for the game to know that you bought something from Phredd. It woukd be too complicated to code if it were possible.

You are right, freeing Merlin does set that Conjurer aggressive. I'm glad it wasn't a glitch.

I would not look too hard for the end credits. I didn't put them in Asteroids because the end was too complicated. It's possible Imleft them out here.
