Prince Sarovet's Cave

There are switches close to the map exit of this cave. One is in a room and the other in a hallway across a chasm. Do I need something to activate these? I tried the bow and and arrow on the switch in the hallway. They don't appear to have a function in Sarovet's cave, but I just wanted to be sure.

Great games and thanks in advance.
